Vastu Shastra
Origin Of Vastu Principle
Sage Vishwakarma, the architect of the gods is believed to be and praised as the originator of Vastu Principles or Vastu Shastra. He derived these principles of Vastu to use the forces of nature in constructing god’s palaces. Sage Vishwakarma constructed a palace named “Indraprastha” for Lord Shrikrishna. His Vastu principles or science of Vastu descended further to future generations through ancient holy Vedas such as Atharv Veda, Rugveda, Sam Veda, and Yajurveda.
Vastu Principle is about using the positive energy of nature for the wellbeing and betterment of human life. An architectural construction based on Vastu principles concentrates the power of natural forces and their energy with-in itself and leverages it for the benefit of the people living in it.

History Of Vastu Shastra
There is also an interesting tale in the “MATSYA PURANA” which narrates the birth of the Vastu Purusha. Vastu Purusha is said to have been born from Lord Shiva’s perspiration when he was fighting the demon Andhakasuran. While fighting the demon, Lord Shiva was very tired and got down to sweat profusely.
As a drop of sweat fell on the ground a large dreadful being was given birth. He was really hungry and started devouring everything he could obtain. When the demon was defeated, he ate him as well. He then prayed to Lord Shiva to grant him a boon, “Please permit me to eat away all the three worlds.”Lord Shiva replied, “Let it be thus.”
The devotee’s joy knew no boundary. He took possession of all the three worlds and first he wished to eat the terrestrial world. The celestial beings, Brahma, Vishnu and the demons (Rakshasas) were terrified and got hold of the devotee. Forty five celestial beings, 32 from without and 13 from within caught hold
of him and threw him on the ground. They put down force on his different limbs and since then, he has been lying there surrounded by the celestial beings.
The gods granted him permission to eat offerings on “grahpooja” and also blessed him to punish those who do not respect him and his rules of VASTU SHASTRA. He was therefore called “the God of Vastu” or “VASTU PURUSHA”
“You will be known as VASTU PURUSHA, and you will be present in every piece of land. People will be benefited only if they abide by your principles and one constructing anything against your principles will not experience bliss and prosperity on his Vastu.” Hearing this the Vastu Purusha was satisfied. Since then the worship of Vastu-Purusha has been in vogue and it has become compulsory to begin any construction activity by worshipping him and his principles called VASTU SHASTRA.

Concept
Modern Man Has Been Struggling Very Hard To Explore The Mysteries Of The Universe. He Is Not Deterred By The Set-Back In The Process Of Research And Is Determined To Conquer The Nature. But, Modern Scientists Must Realize That Nature Is An Amalgamation Of 5 Elements Viz. Air, Space, Water, Earth And Fire
It Is Impossible To Gain Control Over These Elements. Best Way Is To Follow The Nature And Reap The Benefits.
